These are the general and common but best adventure activities in Rishikesh that people normally experience. Moreover, these are extremely fun, adventurous and provide a lifelong memory.

a) Camping

Camping in Rishikesh is one of the most famous adventure activities not just in Rishikesh, but in the whole world. Spending a thrilling night in your private camp amid nature with your partner is truly a fantastic experience.

Additionally, Rishikesh provides various types of camping, like Riverside, Mountain, Jungle and Beach camping. Moreover, you can try cooking, stargazing and bonfire during your camping night.

Now, why do people consider Rishikesh as their prime destination for camping in India? Well, the credit goes to its environment and ecosystem. It provides a serene environment, moderate temperature, a safe environment, appropriate camping sites, river Ganga and much more.

I suggest September to June time. This is the Best time to visit in rishikesh for adventure because of the moderate temperature, lush greenery, safe weather and appropriate Ganga level.

If you are mentally and physically strong, then how about experiencing a thrilling and free fall from a towering cliff. Don’t worry you will be tied with a stretchable rope, and it’s really an amazing adventure.

However, only adults and physically fit can participate in this activity as it is a very highly thrilling and risky activity, but equally fun.

For location, there are three places where you can try bunjee jumping in Rishikesh, one is in Mohanchatti and the other two are in Shivpuri. Among these, I prefer Shivpuri spots. They are easily accessible, safe and provide exceptional bungee experience.

The best time for bungee jumping is arguably the post-monsoon season or summer. However, you can visit any time.

You don’t have to pack anything specific, as the agency or the provider will give you all the basic items etc. Just pack your basic stuff and some motion sickness medicines.

However, you just have to book a reputable travel agency, they will do almost everything whether it is providing the best rafting gear, giving instructions and offering a personal guide.

Now, the best time for rafting is from September to summer. But, in my opinion, the Summer season is the best. Although it can be crowded, it’s the peak season.

b) White Water Rafting

White water rafting is the same as rafting but there is a slight difference. The white water rafting takes place in high-current water filled with rocks and debris. Thanks to these rocks and debris the high flowing water looks white.

Additionally, it is more dangerous and thrilling than normal river rafting. The reasons are high current, uncertainty, rapids etc. That’s why only experts or experienced people try this.

Talking about time, and rafting, the best time for white river rafting is September to June, and summer is still the best time for water activities.

Time and packing are almost similar to rafting. Summer is the best time, and just pack your basic items, the rest will be provided by the agency.
